How To: Migrate Gizmo from one server to another

If you are moving Gizmo server to a different pc, follow the procedure below:

Backup the Old Server

  1. Backup Gizmo Database
  2. Backup User Files*

Restore to New Server

  1. Install SQL Express (required for Gizmo Server)
  2. Install Gizmo Server
  3. Restore User Files*
  4. Restore Gizmo Database from backup
  5. Reset your License Hardware ID
  6. Launch Gizmo Server
* Default location of User Files:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\NETProjects\Gizmo Service\UserData\"
